Why is the Diagnosis code not showing in my Superbill??
Usually, the answer relays on how many Cases are under that Client.
In the event that the client has more than one Case (open or closed), it is required that a Progress Note is linked to the Appointment in order to transmit the Diagnostic Code to billing documents (Superbills, Statements, and Claims). This is so that TheraNest knows which case to pull the Diagnostic Code from, as each case could have its own Diagnostic Code.
A Progress Note is not required for the Diagnostic Code to appear on billing documents if the client has only one case and all staff (Billing and Rendering) are assigned to it.

Can this be changed so that the diagnosis code is listed as long as the case has the correct diagnosis code? There doesn't seem to be any reason to require a progress note within the case as long as all cases have their own diagnosis code - and this creates problems for my practice.
