Authy App Overview
The Authy App is free and available for download from the Play Store (Android) or iTunes (iPhones). |
NOTE: The Authy App must be installed on a phone, not a tablet or desktop computer. The Authy App will also work on an Apple Watch. When the Authy App is installed on a paired phone, the Authy Companion App for the Apple Watch should install automatically.
Use the Authy App to generate a push notification or a six-digit code that you will enter manually to authenticate prescriptions for controlled substances.
-
Push Notification: Click the Send Push Notification button, then approve the Authy app request on your mobile device. There is no manual entry required when using the Push Notification option.
NOTE: Push Notifications are not supported on the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch generates a passcode for manual entry.
-
Manual Entry: Open the Authy App on your mobile device to access a six-digit code, then enter this number in the Passcode field and click the Sign & Transmit Rx button.
