Prescribe a Favorite Prescription

Quickly access a list of common prescriptions using the Favorites List. This can really save you time!

Before you Begin:

• Add frequently prescribed medications to your Favorites List.

Prescribe from Favorites List

1. Click on the Favorites button from the Compose Rx tab. The Favorites List opens.
   

   Note: Alternate quick pick lists of frequently used drugs are available in the drop-down list on the Favorites button. Insulin displays a list of common insulin drugs and supplies. Vaccines displays a list of common immunizations.

   
   
   
2. Click the Underlined Sig Directions for the favorite prescription. The medication is added directly to the Pending Rx list.
   
   

   NOTE: Clicking the blue medication link will open a Sig Directions window without the parameters saved from your Favorites List.

3. If the Favorite was saved as a complete prescription, click Prescribe to proceed to the Transmit Rx section.
   
   

   NOTE: If the Favorite was saved as an incomplete prescription, click the Edit button to complete the Sig Directions, then click Prescribe.

4. Review the prescription and click Transmit.
