TheraNest processes payments using two different secure payment processors: Vantage, and Therapy Brands Pay with Stripe. If you are saving a payment method for a customer prior to actually processing a payment, TheraNest will capture CVV information differently, depending on your payment processor.
How do I know which payment processor TheraNest uses for my practice?
Depending on which payment processor your practice is using, click the appropriate tab below to learn about how a CVV number is saved and stored for processing payments.

Where do I enter the CVV? Therapy Brands Pay & Stripe
When you Save a Credit Card as a Payment Method on the Bill To & Insurance Info tab of a Client's Profile, you will enter all card information, including the CVV. You will not need to re-enter the CVV when you process a payment with the saved card for the first time.
Where do I enter the CVV? Vantage
When you Save a Credit Card as a Payment Method on the Bill To & Insurance Info tab of a Client's Profile, there is no field for the CVV number. You can save the card number, expiration date, and billing zip code prior to the first time you process a payment, but you can not save the CVV prior to processing a payment. This has to do with PCI compliance with Vantage. You will be asked to enter the CVV number the first time you actually process a payment. After processing the first payment, you will not need to enter the CVV for subsequent transactions.
Similarly, when a client saves a credit card as a payment method in the client portal, they will not be able to save the CVV. They will be prompted to enter the CVV the first time they use the card to make a payment.
